Operation Peter Pan was born of fear and the human instinct to protect children. Thousands of parents sent their kids from Cuba to the US to save them from being separated and sent to Russia. In the minds of their parents, many of whom never saw them again, they â€œnever grew old.â€ Let their story be told by one of them through his own poignant, moving, timely, and eloquent portrayal of the immigrant experience. Timely, given the status of immigration policies today. The actor, Manuel Prestamo, is a Peter Pan Kid.

Actor is fluent in Spanish and English and can do outreach in either language. Actor can visit with Spanish classes and speak with them in Spanish, all ages welcome. Q & A sessions with audiences of all ages are very popular, either before or after the performances.

Ideal minimum performing space required is 12â€™ deep x 24â€™ wide, but tell us what you have and we will make it work. Presenter is asked to provide a large projection screen or video wall and good quality projector. Slides and music for the show will be provided on a USB as a PowerPoint presentation along with a printed script marked with each slide change. A projector operator is provided by the artist. Presenter is also asked to provide a lavalier microphone and amplification system, at least one small (preferably old looking) desk and comfortable easy chair.

Dance Crash is a solidly established ensemble that draws on a slew of styles, from breakdance to ballet, impressively unifying them into a single aesthetic. There is a warrior, action film aspect to their work, but also plenty of emotional depth underpinned by strong technique.... Chicago Sun-Times Lead by artistic director Jessica Deahr and founded in 2002, Chicago Dance Crash has emerged as the premier fusion-style contemporary dance company in the Midwest. Tel Aviv Wind Quintet (TAWQ) â€”is one of the most successful chamber music ensembles in Israel today. The group was established in 2009 by five young Israeli musicians seeking to expose a broader audience to the wonderful wind repertoire, as well as commissioned works. By combining music with other art forms such as theater and movement, the Quintet also aims to build upon and expand the existing concert format. ARTS NORTHWEST JURIED SHOWCASE 2021. Large varied repertoire which includes the works of classical composers, contemporary composers, and Israeli composers. In addition, the TAWQ offers a fully staged, choreographed, with props and costumes rendition of Peter and the Wolf in English. The Quintet performs more than 50 concerts per season in prestigious venues such as the Jerusalem International Chamber Music Festival, the Jerusalem Music Center, the Israel Conservatory, and the Tel Aviv Museum. Last season, the Quintet had three international tours in France, Germany, and China, all of them to great success and acclaim. After years of intensive recording projects and concerts for jazz aficionados throughout the U.S., four San Diego-based musicians came together with a purpose: explore the art of song in their own unique way! Renowned jazz, blues and gospel singer Leonard Patton teamed up with the critically acclaimed Danny Green Trio to form LP And The Vinyl. The bandâ€™s wide array of influences includes everything from jazz, R&B, and rock, to 80â€™s and 90â€™s hits, Brazilian music, and classical music. Blending these sounds together, LP And The Vinyl has created a highly unique and personal approach to music-making that leaves its audiences energized and craving more. The groupâ€™s repertoire draws from three separate areas: beautifully reimagined renditions of favorite hits by artists including Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, and David Bowie, fresh and funky explorations of jazz standards, and their own original songs. They were selected for a week-long residency at Quad City Arts which took place in April, 2022. Lectures also cover elements of jazz history, placing an emphasis on how music from cultures all around the world shaped and continue to shape jazz. Lectures are intended for both musicians and non- musicians, and can be customized for all age levels. The Mountain State has its Stage and the Prairie Home its Companion. Long Alaska nights gather folks at Parlor In The Round, a songwriter showcase with an improv twist! Three songwriters â€“ a national act, a â€œringerâ€ and a local â€“ are guided by host Kevin Worrell through rounds of songs, stories, and improv games for a night of leaned-in listening and laughing out loud. The show opens with the rules of play and artist introductions (and some light roasting) by our Oprah-meets-Bob-Barker host. Songwriting homework follows, making each show a debut of new works. After the intermission, tradition is cast aside as the musicians dive into collaborations, jocular inventions and premeditated musings all based on written submissions from the audience. In 2013 Anchorage-based songwriter Kevin Worrell was seeking a space for songwriters to be inspired, for the audience to be engaged and the venue to be supported. How Parlor In The Round (PITR) Touring works: PITR staff work with presenting organization to select a national touring headliner. PITR staff then select a 'ringer' (a seasoned PITR veteran) and seeks out a local artists from the presenting community. On a block booked tour, the Headliner and Ringer typically play the whole block, with a new local artist from each presenting community. PITR staff manage all the pre-production coordination. PITR secures a media release from all artists and records each show for post production broadcast/podcast. Streaming performances are acceptable. Any recordings of streamed content will be shared with PITR and terms for sharing/distribution agreed upon in contracting process.

Our PR person typically engages radio and press in the local market prior to each of our shows, and we frequently do on-air live radio performances in the run-up to the show. We also partner with record stores in each of our performance markets for ticket giveaways and local community-based outreach.

We need a PA that can handle a synthpop band — i.e., full-frequency electronic music with vocal — at an immersive volume without straining. We also need projection — the bigger the screen the better, as the immersive nature of the video art scales with the screen. Other than than, we bring everything we need and our setup is minimal. We have three audio inputs: 1) house mix L 2) house mix R 3) shannon monitor mix ... all on line-level XLRs. We send our video to the house on active HDMI. That's it! Super simple, extremely good sounding, extremely high impact. :)

With a sound that guarantees to make you move, Arcana Kings are a fantastic blend of arena rock anthems and ass-kicking guitar. Forming in 2016, the band has developed a strong following globally with hard rock listeners. AK's not-so-secret weapon, the bagpipes, sets the band apart and uses the pipes to extend the band's sound without making it the focal point. Just imagine your favourite hard rock jams kickin' an East Coast kitchen party! Constantly playing in Canada and the USA, the band has recently begun to take the show to Asia and Europe. In 2019, the band's single 'Here We Go' quickly became a sports anthem with teams with the CFL, NHL, and NFL officially using the song to pump up the crowd. March 2024 the band celebrated their 120th Las Vegas performance! The AK have been a favourite attraction in Las Vegas since their first 10-show run in 2015. May 2023 saw the first single 'Soldier On', a track written by AK and five armed forces members detailing the triumphs and tragedies of military service. In the fall of 2024, AK will release their new record 'Hard Wired for Rock n' Roll'.

When COVID-19 hit and concert venues closed their doors, concert violinists Etienne Gara and YuEun Kim of the Los Angeles-based chamber orchestra Delirium Musicum took to the road in Boris, their 1971 VW bus, for what became a 6-month odyssey, performing for farm workers, winemakers, random passersby, and various animals. As MusiKaravan, their goal was to celebrate, and thank, the people who “are working hard to feed us physically and emotionally.” Now, with the addition of cellist Stella Cho, MusiKaravan is bringing its eclectic programming to concert stages nationwide and beyond.

Outreaches are a core activity of MusiKaravan. In addition to performing small shows in different formats and venues (libraries, school, retirement homes, hospitals etc) our musicians excel in coaching small chamber music groups in schools or colleges, as well as participating in big ensemble/orchestra rehearsals and share their knowledge and experience as they play along with the students. Another signature activity of MusiKaravan is our Baby Concerts, intended to creating a safe-space for families with infants to experience a family bonding time surrounded by live music; a guaranteed life-long memory to be cherished!
